This sculpture is a reflection of myself in a few aspects. First and foremost, this piece encapsulates my infatuation with theatre as a creative medium. My choice to use the theatre masks were deliberately chosen to also reflect the emotional dysregulation I was feeling at the time. The distorted mirror that sits in the mouth of the masks coincides with the feelings of uncertainty I had at this point of my life. However, as I progressed into my senior year of college I finally understood where my path was leading. The Aubrey that carved this piece would be proud of the path that she’s been on recently.
